New Development Projects Recycled Water Project

Recycled Water Project is Completed

Bellevue Memorial Park is continuing it’s commitment to be a good steward of the environment. For the last 20 years, by mulching our own lawn clippings, we have kept several tons of green waste from landfills. We also generate a portion of our own electricity by means of a solar generating facility located on the roof of Bellevue Mausoleum which supplies power to Bellevue Mausoleum and the Administration Offices.

We are proud to have taken the next step in environmental stewardship by converting our irrigation system into a recycled water system. As you know, Southern California faces a critical water shortage due to drought and the increase in population throughout the Inland Empire. By converting to a recycled water system, Bellevue Memorial Park will play a significant role in conserving one of our most precious resources.

We have completed the installation of a new drinking water system and our irrigation system is ready to receive recycled water. The City of Ontario is completing construction of the pipe that will feed our system, and we are hopeful that we may begin utilizing the system by late Spring of 2009.

Bellevue Memorial Park would like to thank all of our families and visitors for your patience during the construction phase, which necessitated installing new hose bibs and removing many of the ones you were familiar with. Please visit the Inland Empire Utilities Agency “Frequently Asked Questions” page on recycled water for more information on this exciting development. http://www.ieua.org/recycled/docs/faq.pdf
